Japanese Non-Alcohol Beer

A moderation trend is sweeping across key global markets and consumers are increasingly choosing non-alcoholic beverages over alcohol options. The non-alcoholic segment grew in volume by 4.5% in 2019-2020 and a strong double-digit growth is predicted in the coming years. Alcohol-free beer represents a share of over 90% of the total low/no alcohol market and has become a particularly trendy drink amongst consumers of varied age groups.

The boom in non-alcoholic beer in Japan started in 2009 and continues to expand at a rapid pace.

Today, Japanese products resonate as a strong health-conscious ‘brand’ with global  consumers and the benefits associated with this non-alcoholic beverage makes Japanese alcohol-free beer one of the top-ranking consumables.
